Junk has recently signed to Snak the Ripper’s record label, Stealth Bomb Records. Inevitably by doing so, he's also teamed up with Snak’s longtime affiliates, Stompdown Killaz and Ephin Apparel. By doing so, he has essentially become the newest member of the dominant Canadian movement. Since signing on in the past 12 months, he has been on a quest to showcase his skills worldwide at a rapid pace. His 2 ep's (I.A.N.) & (Stupid And Ugly) are supported by 7 music videos and counting. His latest single "This Is My World" has made it to Canada's viral Top 50 Spotify playlist. He's shouldered Snak on his largest Canadian tour to date, doing 27 shows in 35 days, followed by 2 European tours as direct support for Snak, and 1 European tour as direct support for legendary hardcore New York rap group Onyx. He also managed to fit in a run with Merkules on the European leg of his 'Fuckin' Eh' tour, then headlined his first western Canadian tour upon return. In the grimy underbelly of East Vancouver’s hip-hop scene, you can find plenty of dirt and trash...but you will find only one JUNK. This saturated gutter contains a sea of "rappers", and few rise to the top. Only the cream of the crop are recognized. With lightning quick chops, mind blowing lyricism and razor sharp freestyles, Junk is quickly eclipsing those in the upper echelon of this so called pecking order. Junk’s establishing himself as a top tier artist, not only in Vancouver, but in the Canadian hip-hop industry.

Junk started out in the Vancouver rap scene primarily rocking house parties and battle rapping in legendary KOTD battles. He’s a four time winner of Vancouver's 'Rent Money' freestyle competition, and the Canadian National champion of the infamous 'End Of The Weak' freestyle competition founded by KRS-One. He was the two time provincial champion and took third place finish in the World finals. Junk beat out thirteen other countries in this prestigious rap competition held in Paris, France. He was also invited to L.A last spring to compete in the Team Back Pack cyphers. By participating in the various cyphers held over the 3 day event, he made a positive impression on judges and fellow artists such as Joell Ortiz, Chris Rivers and Illmaculate, to name a few. It is undeniable that Junk is a master of the art of lyricism and true free styling. As either one half of the Vancouver group Northwest Division (NWD) or a solo artist, Junk is an artist on a mission. With tongue twisting verbal imagery and neck breaking flows, Junk raises the bar on competition with every sentence he conjures. Combined with an electrifying live show, he is an example of a true artist that embraces his dark, creative side while moving the crowd with pin point rhythmic precision.

Ian was born outside of Frankfurt, Germany and moved to rural Canada at the age of eight after living in Italy and Germany for the first part of his life. English became his third language, and Junk can actually rap in his native tongues, German and Italian, as well as English. He’s played stages and radio shows throughout Italy as a young boy with his Italian father, a platinum selling recording artist. His father is founder and front man of former Italian powerhouse rock group "Prozac+". Ian spent many of his younger years travelling through the backstages of Italy with his dad on tour, giving him a taste of what life on the road would entail. Junk’s natural talent along with an early exposure to the music industry plays a strong role in his music career.
